We were really excited to get into the design proposals for this project, as the original house sadly lacked any design aspirations and didn’t function very well. The location however, was a fantastic position close to the cliff top and beautiful beaches between poole and bournemouth. Our brief was to transform it into a modern, and spacious family home that made the most of its location and architectural potential. We extended the property and completely re-modelled the roof form, bringing a striking vaulted roof space for bedroom accommodation and flexible living. The materials sought to reflect the coastal location and introduced white render and strong accents of timber cladding. 

The planning proposals pushed the boundaries of what had been achieved on the road previously, so we knew we were in for a bit of a battle. However, we carefully produced a robust planning submission which allowed the project to achieve a really exciting permission.
